Thanks for that. But what if I wanted to use the Remark environment? Is there something I can wrap around the SIunits package which translates \rem to something else? I temporarily commented it out of SIunits so I'm less panicky than before. And currently I have no Remarks so I guess if this is the best way then I'll live with it. Have fun, Darren
