Hi everyone,
I have a problem installing the Windows version of Lyx in my computer. I
tried both the LyxWinInstaller and the lyx-144-5.exe installer, and in
both cases I get the following problem. Once I install all the
components such as MikTex, Gsview, etc., there is a black window that
shows up and says
+checking for default encoding (this may take a long time)
+ checking for ec fonts... yes
+ checking for ec support in LaTex format... yes
and then it gets stuck even after 8 hours. Although it says it takes a
long time, I feel there's something going wrong. I had installed Lyx in
my previous computer and everything worked out fine, but for some
reason, everytime I want to install it in my current computer, it gets
stuck in this step.
