Hi! I can tell you what works for me, and maybe it can help you.
When I insert an eps figure I do not modify anything in the clipping dialog. Usually the bounding box of my figures is correct (I use OTEditor). If not, I modify the bounding box values in the eps file manually. To know the correct values I "play" with the cursor in GSView.
Now to the Graphics menu. If my figure has the correct size, I do not do anything (and yes, if you write 100 %Scale, the 100 disappears. No problem). When I want to resize the figure, and depending on the situation, I specify the width as:
- %Scale (then I usually have to try several times until I find the correct scale) - %text, if the figure spans two columns (e.g. 100 %text resizes the figure so it fits just inside the margins) - %col, if it is a two-column document and I want the figure to be inside one column (span columns switched off) Cheers, Nicolás
