Joost, I see two problems here: 1. lyx uses only one URL to download the dictionary. If ftp.lyx.org is down, or unusable like this case, lyx installer will fail. It would be nice to use a backup URL, or allow users to specify a URL. 2. lyx can not detect manually installed dictionaries. Cheers, Bo
