Oh No!!!!! The current 1.4x native format is so easy to read and understand, and even to write. With an XML format, I'll need to hook an XML parser to Ruby. Worse yet, creating LyX programmatically (VimOutliner to LyX converter, for instance) will be challenging. Will they have a 1.5 to 1.6 converter? If so, I can continue to use my current VimOutliner to LyX converter, and then simply convert.
