LyX-1.5.0 RC 1 for Mac was originally released as a universal
binary, and that release was quite slow for PPC Macs. I have just
posted a new version that should improve speed on PPC Macs, and I'd
like for people experiencing speed issues with the original release
to try this one instead. It can be found here:

Apparently the PPC version was mistakenly compiled requiring some
software not everyone has. (Thanks to Jean and Patrick for pointing
this out to me.) I've posted a new version in the same place that
should fix the problem.
