If you mean have the installer ask whether you want previous installations deleted, that would be ok, but I suspect low priority for the kind folks building the installers. You can uninstall from the Windows Add/Remove Applications applet, and the 1.5.0svn installers put an uninstall link in the Start menu.

Well, environments are more layout-related while macros are rather "insert-something-big-for-me-please"-related and so I was not sure whether these two should be mixed up in a single place. Rather, there
might be a separate tool for creating layouts. Just a suggestions anyway.

I think this might be in the works. IIRC, someone's students started such a beast as a project, and extending/supporting it is being looked at. I agree that a layout builder would be handy.
