Actually, I am not entirely sure about what latex might support.
But I tried all the 13 fonts supported by the lyx-1.5 beta, and
none gave me italic small caps.
In general small caps in italic -- or, more precisely, sloped small
caps -- are hard to produce because very few type designers ever made
them. They are not regarded as a typical part of a typeface family.
Robert Slimbach's Minion (Adobe) is one modern exception, along with
Martin Majoor's Scala.
