Don't know about this, since the installer for the previous snapshot ran
the configuration script just fine for me.
The bug opnly occured when you had Python 2.5 installed before installing LyX.

Most definitely don't know about this. The update installer did not try
to install any Aspell dictionaries, which is fine with me (I have
English, and that's enough of a struggle for me :-)).
This was a bug in the uninstaller and is therefore independent of the Update installer that doesn't
uninstall anything - Ahh a bug, the uninstaller doesn't work after updating, I'll have a look.
