Then, the problem is even simpler. In my installation, default encoding for Slovene is latin2 (i.e. ISO-8859-2). Switch your editor to this encoding, e.g. Menu>Tools>Encoding>Central European (i.e. ISO-8859-2) in kwrite, and you should get perfect text. Vasek
