I had noticed that the fonts in an included .svg are slightly different in the finished PDF and the .svg in Inkscape but I haven't tried to solve the problem yet. I take it that this is what PSFrag is for? I didn't bother with the instructions in the wiki as found that I was able to get it working without the script. I am able to create images in Inkscape and include them directly in LyX. The image in the PDF is a vector image as it should be. These are my converter strings: SVG>EPS: inkscape -z --file=$$i --export-eps=$$o SVG>PNG inkscape -z --file=$$i --export-png=$$o SVG>postscript inkscape -z --file=$$i --export-ep=$$o -- http://www.unmusic.co.uk - about me, music, geek sitcom etc. http://www.unmusic.co.uk/amhs/ - alt.music.home-studio
