Dear List, just wanted to post some problems i had with LyX 1.5.0 beta.
Here are the facts: -OS: Win XP 32-bit -installed LyX with LyXWininstaller LyXWin150beta1Small-3-09 -latest MikTeX Version 2.5 When i start LyX not only LyX opens, but also a DOS-Window, which stays there. It says: Lyx: Disabling LyX socket. Then i tried to open a document (my thesis with some images). The problem here was the PDF-Export (via PDFLaTeX) which produces a runtime error in LyX.exe. You can find the whole Error-Message here as a .gif: http://www4.turboshare.de/v/6428267/lyx_error1.gif.html Then i opened the document "de_FAQ.lyx", which causes LyX to crash by simply scolling down the document. In the DOS Window it says "QFontEngineWin: GetTextMetrics failed <>" and "lyx: SIGSEGV signal caught". By the way: LyX 1.5 (with the new features) looks great and i am really looking forward to work with it! Thanks a lot! Dom
