I check and in poEdit I can use the LANG setting to switch the
language into Hebrew or any other language I want so it can't be a
problem with my Linux locale - it has to be something else.
Check if LC_ALL or LC_MESSAGES are set. LyX extract the language
definition in this order:
LC_ALL
LC_MESSAGES
LANG
As you see LANG is the third choice and is used only if the other two
are not set. Maybe poEdit only check LANG, dunno.
