Hi, 2 issues/questions related to my original mac template question: 1)I tried to move the .sy and .cls files to /usr/local/gwTex/texmf.local, and I did the texhash command and reconfigured, but I still cant get it to see it. Am I missing something from my preamble? I am writing my thesis and I have written most of it using the article class and would like to use a few items from this sample thesis I found online. which brings me to my second question... 2) I looked on ctan and found tons of thesis templates(is that the proper term?). How can I use them? Do I need to basically cut my thesis body, graphs, etc into their format, or can I use pieces of it in mine? Im very new to this and am just getting too many different answers from too many sources online as to how to approach this.. Thanks..
