(Really just because I'm curious) Basically yes, but normally there are no options missing. Either a package is fully supported. If you load packages youerself you can get package ordering problems in some cases, that may need some tricks. A real solution for this would be a package manager that lets you insert custom packages inbetween the ones loaded by LyX. Georg
