I tried this pssobility on my PC and it did not work. Maybe your
solution is Mac specific ? (I didn't find a Dvorak key board in the
corresponding section of my kcontrol of KDE.

Eventually I returned to LyX-1.3.7, I found a SUSE rpm in the internet.
I would prefer a gentoo ebuild but didn't find one. If anybody in this
list could send me one I would be grateful.

At least my problem si solved in a way that i can start working with
lyx. And for the rest i will have to wait for LyX-1.5
