No. It checks when you either run LyX for the first time, or when you do a
Tools->Reconfigure. But it does only find programs in the path. If
latex2rtf is not in the path then either add it to the path, and
reconfigure should find it, or define the converter with the full path name
to latex2rtf.
latex2rtf is in the path, but it didn't pick it up when I did a
reconfigure - but no problem as I entered it manually and it works.
