Sorry for the delay - the question went automatically into the LyX folder here and I didn't notice at once. The configure options can be asked with ./configure --help This is always a wise thing to do before doing the final ./configure, because it tells you all the options you can set. Note that there are probably a huge number of options - almost all are either automatic or already set to the correct value. Just look for the ones of interest. I don't think it's wise to compile the GTK frontend, last time I checked it wasn't complete. --with-frontend=qt is the one for qt as a front-end... > > Many thanks for the help, it's great to have such people at hand...
