Hello there:

I am planning to submit a paper to a journal. The
format of the journal paper is provided as a style
file, say 'ndst.sty'.

I am using LyX 1.42 on Windows XP. Following the
instructions in 'Customization' manual, I did the
following:

1)I made a copy of 'artical.layout', and renamed it to
'ndst.layout'.

2)I modified the top lines of 'ndst.layout' to
#% Do not delete the line below; configure depends on
this
#  \DeclareLaTeXClass[article,
ndst.sty]{article(ndst)}

Preamble
        \usepackage{ndst}
EndPreamble

The remaining lines of 'ndst.layout' are kept
unchanged.

After I reconfigured LyX and re-started LyX, the
document classs Article(ndst) is still marked as
'UnAvailable'.

This may be caused by that the system could not locate
file 'ndst.sys', as I am not sure where to put it. I
would appreciate if anyone can give me some help on
how to configure LyX on Windows XP, so that the
document class in style file can be applied to my
paper.

Regards,

Winson
