It doesn't work for me either. This is what happens. Once I install Lyx, when I click on run Lyx, nothing happens. I even restarted the machine and then went to program files and clicked on lyx.bat and the result was same.
When I clicked on lyx.exe, it says that the application configuration file is wrong.
