Hi all,

I am interested and looking for a way to add collaboration functionalities
into LyX.

LyX made communications and collaboration in math easy because everything is
in text mode (at least for math equations, which is my primary interest).
The peer-to-peer connection can be very fast and efficient in text mode. And
then both sides use Latex Instant Preview(which is already in LyX) to
convert the text into math equations that are nicely displayed. This makes
collaboration and discussing math very easy -- I have seen several math guys
type those math equations in near real time.

Since this idea is immediately oriented for my discussion with colleagues
using math. I would like to see if there is a way to fastly implement this
in a most efficient way. I would guess simply digesting the current LyX
program will take months of times.

As a broader question, is there a way to utilize the Latex Instant Preview
feature from outside of the LyX?

If possible, I would like to add the instant equation preview feature to MS
OneNote shared session.Currently my colleagues and I use OneNote shared
session to collaborate in drawings, etc. It makes sharing of drawings and
brainstormings very easy. It is an excellent software for collaboration and
note-taking, conference recording, etc.

We would like to add fast equation writing capabilities to the OneNote
shared session.

I am wondering if I can copy the images from the instant equation preview
buffer to OneNote in realtime automatically and programatically.

The workflow will be: if one wants to share equation, he opens a text
buffer, and enter math text; and the image is rendered in real time to the
OneNote whiteboard. OneNote will take care of the transmission and
communication part.

How to implement this?

Thanks a lot!
