Compiled 1.4.2 without problems, installed, and I have exactly the same effect! Again, the 'style button' effectively disables when clicking on the small button inside. The format the button appears is the Motif 1.0 format (according to the Trolltech site). Could this be the problem? Should I install Motif 2 or so? Anyone? John
