There are limits to how much you can customize your bibliography style
by playing with the .dbj files: It only lets you select among what its
options permit. To do more customization, you may need to delve into the
generated .bst file itself. These changes are trivial if you know what
you're doing, but the language used in the .bst files takes a little
(ahem!) getting used to.
