Hi As the debs from ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/bin/1.4.1/ubuntu didn't work in Dapper, I compiled lyx-1.4.1 debs for Ubuntu Dapper following instructions from http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/LyXOnDebian.
It works in my Dapper laptop and does all the right things with existing documents, eg make pdf with hyperref, loads diagrams properly. However the compiled debs have the same names as existing debs on ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/bin/1.4.1/ubuntu how should they be renamed? in order to upload to ftp://ftp.devel.lyx.org/pub/incoming/ TIA Russell
