Greetings,

My LyX installation on Linux is in Spanish, but it has problems with
accented characters. All the menus and dialogs have the accented
characters replaced by an uppercase A with a tilde over it, followed by
some other special character. Whenever I try to input an accented
character, I get an uppercase A with either a tilde, a caret or a
degree sign over it.

I have no problems inputting accents on OpenOffice, so I don´t think
it is a system-wide issue. The weird thing is that if I open documents
made on Lyx (the English version) on other box, the special characters
show up just fine.

Does anyone have any tips on how to solve this? Thanks
