Hello! I get the same error (well in German)! Using: Win2k, LyXWin141Complete-2-01.exe MikTex was installed separately before.

Please check your installation". What has happened or failed? What do I have to do? I have LYX 1.3.7 on my pc, the other needed programms are installed.
