I'm writing a letter using the provided template but can't seem to get
the closing to look the way I expect. I'm used to closing a letter
like this:

Sincerely,

         SIGNATURE

David Berg

Where the whole closing is 2/3rds of the way across the paper. How
can I get the layout this way? I've tried to type it by putting
several line breaks (Ctrl + Return) between "Sincerely" and my name
but when I try to preview the dvi I get a dialog saying:

-----------------------------------
There were errors during the LaTeX run.

X error(s) detected.
You should try to fix it.
-----------------------------------

A box with the word Error in red shows up. Clicking on it gives me a
dialog containing:

-------------------
LaTeX Error: There's no line here to end.
David Berg}

Your command was ignored.
Type I <command> <return> to replace it with another command,
or <return> to continue without it.
--------------------------

I assume this is saying I can't have a linebreak on an empty line, but
if that is the case, what is the proper way to do what I want?

Thanks.
