I really dislike the default pink color scheme and fonts in LyX. Even a simple black on white would be nicer. I uploaded the profile that I typically use here: http://wiki.lyx.org/Tips/ColorSchemes . It is white on blue with a nicely antialiased monospace font in place of Times New Roman and reminds me of the good old days of Word Perfect 5.1, but with better fonts. If you have a different one that you like, please post it there. I might try to duplicate Ulysses' full screen mode next (http://www.blue-tec.com/ulysses/screenshots.php).
