I guess you used >floats>figure and added the legend there after Figure#: blabla Go with your cursor to Figure#:<here> blabla and select >shorttitle in the same dropdown column where you selected floats a red framed field marked OPT opens, where you can insert your short title (easiest: cut and paste your legend and shorten it afterward) Wolfgang
