The layout file for the document class you're using has to load the
character styles. The example on the Wiki uses db_stdcharstyles.inc,
which is loaded by the docbook layout. If you're using some other
class, you have to edit the layout file to contain your character
styles, or else put them in an include file and Input the include file
in the layout file.
