Lyx 1.4 looks great so far. I have a few related questions (and
apologies if they have already been asked):
Is it possible to save toolbar preferences? That is, if I want to
have the math and table toolbars always on, is there any way to
change my preferences such that they will be visible immediately upon
startup? Or will I have to right click the toolbar and select them
at the beginning of every session?
On a related note, is it possible to save the window size? The
default size at startup is actually smaller than the "Extra" toolbar
on OS X. It would be nice if I didn't have to rescale the Lyx window
every time I start or restart Lyx.
Finally, and this is more of a suggestion, which I think I've brought
up before: It seems to me very strange that the default "paragraph"
alignment for floats is right justified. Does anyone actually leave
this unmodified in the final versions of their documents? I think
most of the time we will want our figures/tables/etc centered in
their floats, not off to the side. Am I the only one who finds it a
bit bothersome to change the paragraph alignment every time I include
a float? Would there be any way of changing this in future versions
of Lyx? Is this worth reporting as a "bug"?
