i'm not familiar to latex + lyx - so please consider this a newbie
question
i'm running mac os x 10.4 - i installed the mac os x binary:
ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/bin/1.3.6/LyX-1.3.6-2Mac.dmg
available @ this site: http://wiki.lyx.org/pmwiki.php/LyX/Mac
the layout dir in the .app bundle (/Applications/LyX.app/Contents/
Resources/lyx/layouts) contains:
./Contents/Resources/lyx/examples/g-brief2.lyx
./Contents/Resources/lyx/layouts/g-brief-de.layout
./Contents/Resources/lyx/layouts/g-brief-en.layout
./Contents/Resources/lyx/layouts/g-brief2.layout
./Contents/Resources/lyx/templates/g-brief-de.lyx
./Contents/Resources/lyx/templates/g-brief-en.lyx
i have a latex file that uses the g-brief template so when trying to
run relyx in the command line i get

Creating LyX preamble
Cannot find layout file g-brief.layout in dir(s) /Applications/
LyX.app/Contents/Resources/lyx/layouts
-- snip --
is it possible (or first - would this solve my problem?) to install
g-brief.layout ?
and where can i get it ?
BTW: my latex dist has following layouts:
./share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/g-brief
./share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/g-brief/g-brief.cls
./share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/g-brief/g-brief.sty
./share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/g-brief/g-brief2.cls
./share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/g-brief/g-brief2.sty
(so this one has g-brief but no g-brief-de :)
any help is appreciated
