Dear all,
I installed lyx from the scartch and I'm wondering which converter Lyx
uses if i choose view pdflatex.
I get a pdf document but in the information the source of the
document is .dvi.
I don't follow this: where does it say .dvi?
Is it posible that lyx on Mac dos not use pdflatex ?
How can i finde out?
The default is for it to use pdflatex, and if that's showing up in
the View menu, then its very likely pdflatex that's being used.
To find out for sure, try checking the LaTeX Log from within LyX.
(I'm not sure offhand which menu it's under, but it shouldn't be hard
to find.) The first line will probably say "This is pdfeTeX ..." no
matter whether you're using pdflatex or straight latex (producing
a .dvi); it's the "(format=latex ...)" or "(format=pdflatex ...)"
that you're interested in.
