You should change the _bibliography_ layout to a style using the formatting you want (e.g jurabib bib.style does not number the entries). There are several pre-defined bib styles included into the standard LaTeX/TeX installation and you can change the style used in your document in the dialog for the bibliography (click on the ERT bibliography and select another bibliography style).
