Win XP problem with lyxserver

As a new user to lyx it comes as a revelation, freeing me from formatting and allowing rapid document construction. My main problem is connecting LyX to Jabref with the Lyxserver I have the following setup:   Lyx: 1.3.6-1 installed in C:\program files\lyx\ with the pipe set as C:\Documents and Settings\robertsand\.lyx\.lyxpipe   JabRef: 1.8.1 installed in C:\program files\jabref 1.8.1\ with the link to LyX set as C:\Documents and Settings\robertsand\.lyx\.lyxpipe   When I run Lyx I don’t get .lyxpipe.in or .lyxpipe.out created in the pipe directory. The question is, is this some oddity of Windows file permissions or is the feature not yet implemented for Windows?   Any indication of this in the Windows download page would be helpful.   For the meantime I will use the citation import facility in Lyx but it is a second best to a purpose built bibliography manager
