I imagine you output looks fine and this is a problem with display only.

Have you installed the Maths fonts (Bakoma)?

These help Lyx display math properly.

It is on the wiki http://wiki.lyx.org/Windows/LyX136 under maths fonts

Subject: Help!- Windows/Linux .lyx file compatability

Hi there,
I've been working on linux and have started using another computer which
uses windows. So I have downloaded the latest versions of the packages
(as of 6 sept 2005) and I'm using:
Lyx 1.3.6-1 for windows
OS=Win 200 Pro

Packages downloaded were:
ActivePerl 5.8.7.813
Python 2.4.1
ImageMagick6.2.4 Q16
MSYS
MikTEX Aspell 0.50-3
Ghostscript 8.51

Anyway the issue is that my math won't display properly. That is, the
math that I write is correct in terms of its latex content, but is
displayed in lyx's editor wrongly.
For example the command \prod will produce a nicely typeset "big pi" for
the product symbol, yet when displayed in lyx it appears as "Q". I have
checked for ams packages and they seem to be there.

If you know how to fix this, could you send an email to me
([EMAIL PROTECTED])?
Thanks,
Rik
