You started LyX by clicking on a LyX-file in the explorer, right?
Starting LyXWin 1.3.5 this way disables every export - a nasty bug fixed
in LyXWin 1.3.6.
Start LyX from Windows Start menu or by clicking on lyx.exe and export
should work fine.
Note that LyX's LaTeX output is not easy to read for humans, so expect
that your collegues don't like it.
