There is a tool in the contrib repository: ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx//contrib/tools/csv2lyx-1.0.0.tar.gz csv means comma separated values, it's one of the native Excel (Gnumeric, OOcalc, ...) exports. perl has a module Spreadsheet::ParseExcel which I use successfully for batch applications, -- Jean-Pierre
