There was an interesting article "Medienpflege im Web Wiki-Inhalte mit externen Anwendungen bearbeiten" in c't 14/05 about external editors for mediawiki. See http://www.heise.de/ct/05/14/links/190.shtml, http://www.heise.de/kiosk/archiv/ct/2005/14/190 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:External_editors. It looks like a nice project for some interested person to adapt it to pmwiki. Georg
