As a sidenote: RCS has been (sort of) superseded by CVS a dozen years ago which in turn is in the process of being superseded by SVN as far as I can tell. Things might be bearable on a single-user system, though.Andre'
Yes, but... can CVS or SVN be used with LyX. As far as I know there is no way to specify the version control system LyX should use, and, as it comes out-of-the-box, LyX calls rcs. In short, if you want to use CVS or SVN you have to modify the code (If I am not wrong)
