I suppose the solution you intend to use is not very professional in terms of typography although some word processors support this. TeX tries to avoid it - see the UK TeX FAQ at http://www.ntg.nl/doc/fairbairns/newfaq.pdf (Q 218, pp. 72-73). Axel
