I found a source of the problem: I do not have float:table available.
It seems all my float set-up is screwed up. (the lyx file I am using used to work fine on another computer/set-up). When I go in the INSERT pull-down menu, under FLOATS I only have one choice: Floatflt Figure Shouldn't I have regular Float Figure as well as Float Table and maybe Floatflt Table How to fix the above?
