Hi,
Trying for several hours I am sorry but it does not work for me. I was not able to get "gerapali" to work with lyx.
The .bst file is
C:/texmf/bibtex/bst/germbib/gerapali.bst
from the standard miktex distribution
I can insert the citations but the preview (regardless whether dvi, ps etc.) brought only errors (see below).
The literatur.bib is the same path as the .lyx file.
I made a small file to test -> here is it and the reference of the "literatur.bib" file:
@incollection{keithspiegel1972,
author={Patricia Keith-Spiegel},
booktitle={Early conceptions of humor varieties and issues},
year={1972},
publisher={Academic Press},
series={The psychology of humor. Theoretical perspectives and empirical issues},
address={New York},
editor={Jeffrey H. Goldstein and Paul McGhee}
}
I checked with APA and I think it is correct. Now the lyx file: ############################################## LyX 1.3 created this file. For more info see http://www.lyx.org/ \lyxformat 221 \textclass scrbook \begin_preamble

I am confused and do not know what went wrong.
thanks for every hint to solve that.
best regards

when you insert your Reference at the end of the document (Einfügen --> Listen und Inhaltsverzeichnis --> Bibtex Referenz) just click on the label "Von Bibtex erstellte Referenzen". Under "Stil" go to the directory where the .bst files are stored and use them.
If APA does not fit your needs, create your own style easily with custom-bib:
