The LyX site is down currently, I'll look when it's available.

The link above works for me.

Yes, all was well the following day.

I have 6.0.3-Q16. Thanks for the warning, I'll back off if I run into trouble. So far the display seems OK.

Good to hear. I wrote this, because some users reported troubles with newer versions of Imagemagick on the lyx-users list.

My main problem with LyX at the moment is that the User Guide refers to menu items Tools and Document (not documents), neither of these is present with LyX 1.3.3.

The menu 'Tools' is now the menu 'Edit' and 'Document' is under 'Layout'->'Document...'.
These are nasty bugs in the documentation. Could you please report me all documentation bugs ou find, so that I can fix them for the next LyX release?

Thanks for this clarification.

I have three problems with LyX all, I suspect, because I don't know where to look in the docs.
1. I would like to be able to indent the first line of a paragraph by say 1.2cm.
2. Produce HTML from the LyX or LaTeX script.
3. Handling subscripts in the manner of the Wikipedia rendering <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:TeX_markup#Subscripts.2C_superscripts>. I think I have a way to do it,
but it seems to fail with the C - M approach. This is illustrated with the LyX script below.
4. I would like to be able to insert some Python script into a LyX file. This would require leaving
spaces in the text (whitespace is significant in Python) and using a fixed width font.

Thanks and regards Uwe

Many thanks your and other help from the list.

\begin_inset Formula $A_{2,4}$ \end_inset

is a subscripted, using A_, but not rendered by LyX in the manner described
in
\begin_inset LatexCommand \htmlurl[Wikipedia]{http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:TeX_markup#Subscripts.2C_superscripts}

\end_inset

\newline Although it is rendered correctly, using dvi. \newline

\newline

\begin_inset Formula $A\textrm{_{\textrm{2,4}}}$
\end_inset

is also subscripted, using the LyX math insert, but the spacing is less
attractive than the line above.
In addition, this produces 10 error messages when one uses the View DVI.

I would like the subscripts to be lower that the preceding character, but
not totally below it, as is done in Wikipedia.
