I am using lyx 1.3.4 with QT (3.2.3) on Xfree86 (4.3) on Mandrake 9 and 10 (kernels 2.4 and 2.6).
I do see the font cmmi10 in other applications just fine, and in lyx just the \Gamma and \Psi have problems, it is strange indeed.

Can you send a bit more info on your system? Distro, versions: LyX, Xserver, QT, Also, do you see these letters in any other application? (font cmmi10)
E.g. in kword: Insert > Special Character.

Enough of the apologies...
My problem is that the symbol for \Gamma and \Psi show up as blank squares on screen.
I have the latex-ttf package installed and all other math issues are fine... I have also tried the xft font package.
It isn't a big or critical problem for me but it is still annoying, so I anyone could direct me to the anwer I would appreciate it.
