I think that it will create files .lyxpipe.in and .lyxpipe.out. Note the '.' at the front of the name. Start up lyx and then type $ ls -a /home/s.chicken/ It probably makes more sense to create these files in your $HOME/.lyx directory. Eg \lyxserver "/home/s.chicken/.lyx/pipe" > So I get an error message in JabRef > saying that either lyx is not working or the serverpipe isn't configured > properly. Well, you have to tell JabRef where to find these fifos. What does JabRef think they're called? > Is there anything I can do to get the serverpipe runnig > properly? I use LYX 1.3.4 on Suse 9.1 and JabRef 1.4 > > Thank you in advance! > Kai > > (Please excuse my poor english for that I'm not a native speaker) Your English is fine. -- Angus
