  Thanks, Jean-Pierre. I'm working with Springer-Verlag's 'svmono.cls' as my
book will most likely be published in their Environmental Management Series.
The {fancy} keeps the header off the title chapter page and formats the
pages as they want them to be formatted.

  It works, I have a deadline about 2 months from now, and I'm not going to
futz with what works. It's only when I find things _not_ working that I ask
for help if I cannot find the solution myself.

  The output is truly impressive. I've had reviewers (of a draft) ask what
graphics software I use. They're all on winduhs and cannot produce the
simulated plotted output that I easily create with tgif. (Yes, I know other
packages -- at least 6 -- also work with linux and LaTeX.)

  Anyway, back to editing what I've already written.
