Thanks, Jean-Pierre. I'm working with Springer-Verlag's 'svmono.cls' as my book will most likely be published in their Environmental Management Series. The {fancy} keeps the header off the title chapter page and formats the pages as they want them to be formatted. It works, I have a deadline about 2 months from now, and I'm not going to futz with what works. It's only when I find things _not_ working that I ask for help if I cannot find the solution myself. The output is truly impressive. I've had reviewers (of a draft) ask what graphics software I use. They're all on winduhs and cannot produce the simulated plotted output that I easily create with tgif. (Yes, I know other packages -- at least 6 -- also work with linux and LaTeX.) Anyway, back to editing what I've already written. Rich -- Dr. Richard B. Shepard, President Applied Ecosystem Services, Inc. (TM) <http://www.appl-ecosys.com>
