I don't know if it's already for distribution, but maybe some of you like to have a look at it. The latex-beamer source tarball at latex-beamer.sf.net contains a lyx subdir with all relevant files included, I don't want to post them to the list for size reasons.
I have just copied the layout and template files from there to the respective LyX directories on my computer. However, the document class beamer does not appear in the document class list (Layout-->Document). Could somebody here please help me with installing beamer document class?
