Cannot install llncs.sty

Hi,

I'm a newbie switching from Klyx (Linux x86) to Lyx/MacOSX. I've 
installed Lyx 1.3.3. I then downloaded llncs.sty from Springer-Verlag 
or CTAN website. I followed the Customization document Chapter 5 
exactly to install llncs.sty. No errors during installation.

I lost many document classes in Layout -> Document : Document Class 
after installing llncs.sty. Before the installation, I had about 28 
classes but after the installation, I have only 4 or 5 classes. And 
llncs cannot be found. I also lost the capability to export DVI, PDF 
and Postscript.

Could anyone help?
