when i used to install lyx using redhat (i used the tarball), it was
always a long painful process. but when it finally all come together,
mostly everything I needed was there.

now i say
apt-get install lyx
and 20 seconds later its done. happy debian. thanks.

problem is that when i installed the tarball all the stuff i needed was
there. the deb comes with almost nothing. i have to install a
dictionary, none of the classes work except article. only default fonts
and spacing.

why can't we get a deb that comes with all the stuff included, at least
all the stuff that comes with the tarball? and could i get one that just
comes with nearly everything (i know that's alot). but i've got the
space, cant i get at least a bigger one?

who do i talk to about this?
